Adolfo Garcia joined the Chardonnay Golf Club & Vineyards in August of 2000 as the executive chef and is a 23 year veteran in the culinary field. Prior to joining the Chardonnay team, Adolfo was the executive chef at Piccolino’s in Napa California for over four years. He was in charge of overseeing every aspect of the kitchen, restaurant, and daily operations including payroll and hiring. Before Piccolinos, he was the executive chef onboard the Napa Valley Wine Train for seven years. He was in charge of all daily railroad operations including front and back of the house. While on the wine train, he also produced weekly wine maker luncheons and dinners (food and wine pairings) for all seven years of employment.
In 1983, Adolfo began his training with the Great Masa in Auberge Du Soleil in Rutherford, California. Later on that year, he transferred to Domaine Chandon in Yountville, California for further training in every aspect of the culinary arts by the "world renowned" Phillipe Jeanty. Three years later, Adolfo became fully submerged in all aspects of management, and culinary arts at Pasta Prego in Napa, California.
Chef Garcia has been presented many outstanding awards in the culinary world. In 1992 he was included in a Macy’s catalog promoting chef approved kitchen ware accompanied by in a live demo in the wine train depot. In 1993 he was featured on the worldwide Latino station Telemundo on Fuera De Serie. The show was called Nuestro Orgullo Hispano (Our Latino Pride) and was aired all over the world! He has also been on many other television shows including Bay Area Backroads, World’s Greatest Chefs, and Yan Can Cook with Martin Yan. He has also won several local Napa Valley awards including the 1995 Napa Valley Mustard Festival Winner. The honor that Adolfo is most proud of is the Confrerie De la Chaine des Rotisseurs which is an outstanding award that was started in the year 1248 by King Edward.
Adolfo currently resides with his dog Pancho in Napa. He has a 14 year old daughter named Lauren Garcia and a 12 year old son named Anthony Garcia.
